Official Festival Opening and
Announcement of the Balnaves Foundation 2013 John Shaw Neilson Acquisitive Art Prize
at the Penola High School, Cameron Street, Penola at 5.30pm
Following the official opening proceedings, the winner of the $5000 Acquisitive Art Prize named after the Penola poet, John Shaw Neilson and the Youth Art Prize will both be announced. All are welcome to join the festivities and get the festival off to a great start!

Opening at 5.00pm – 6.00pm, 5.30pm official proceedings at the Penola High School, Cameron Street, Penola.

Co-Opera
Opera for Two
Co-Opera’s new touring production Die Fledermaus, is the famous operetta of Viennese musical genius and King of the Waltz, Johann Strauss. It is world famous for its gorgeous music and its ability to cast its spell over audiences of all nationalities and ages. It will be a great night out to enjoy Co-Opera’s uniquely vivacious and irreverent style. So, join in the party in Co-Opera’s cabaret format with BYO drinks and nibbles and let the champagne flow. Make it a special night, dress up, black tie and all and don’t forget the candelabra!

Doors open at 7.30pm for a 8.00pm start at Rymill Hall. Tickets cost $35 per person and can be purchased through the Penola Coonawarra Visitor Information Centre on 08 8737 2855.
